52 Weeks of Christopher - Week 3 and 4

Oops... so I'm a little behind in posting our weekly pictures. We're not getting off to a great start but I promise to get better. The weather has been so cold and overcast that we haven't gone out or done much plus C has been sick so there weren't many photo opps.

Week 3 brought a new level of mobility. Christopher is noticing more and more of the world around him. His new favorite is to crawl to the window, pull up and look outside. I sometimes wonder what hes thinking or who he is talking to but whoever it is, they are having a great conversation!!

Week 4 introduced some new foods. Christopher has pretty much mastered the pincher grasp and eats slices of pear, toast, o's, puffs and now a personal friend of mine.....CHEESE. He LOVES cheese, I knew this kid was mine (even if he looks just like Daddy). We keep our house pretty cool and didn't know how cool until I saw this pics with his little red nose....

He also loves cottage cheese, not a personal fan myself but he seems to like all the new foods we've introduced. Although his favorite food of the moment is the organic goats milk yogurt we get but prefers the vanilla over the plain. The reason behind the goat's milk is for another post but, we are having so much fun. Hes eating a ton and it wont be long until hes eating what we do! CRAZY!

52 Weeks of Christopher - Week 2

So last week we got in a lot of walking time. This day the weather wasn't so great but he had a great time. I just love this pic of Christopher excited to get out of the house.

Here are some other moments that just make me smile! It just gets better and better.

It wont be long now!

Christmas day he started crawling....really crawling. By New Years, C was able to balance on his knees and last week we started this. I wish sometimes that he could slow down a little but its fun to see him learn more each day. Oh, and still a joy on his face even with his FIRST TOOTH!!!

The picture quality isn't the best but you get the idea. :0 We've also started finger foods this week and he loves to pick up banana chucks and cheese by himself. Such the big boy!!

52 Weeks of Christopher - Week 1

So, I was talking with a friend of mine over the holidays about how quickly little man is growing and she mentioned something she and a group of her friends did last year (and they stole it from someone's website the year before) and it sounded just the thing for me. After talking with some friends, its amazing how many people have heard of this. Great idea, I must have been living under a rock.

52 weeks of Christopher is going to be 1 weekly picture for the entire year. When I'm done I will have a weekly reminder of fun things we did and how hes grown. I'm not starting off really well, I know. Its easy to shoot him but hard to find the time to edit. So here is week 1, stay tuned for week 2 this weekend.
Thanks Sara, for the fun idea!

8 Months Old

Yesterday our little guy turned 8 months old. Its amazing how quickly time passes. I try to take in every minute of him and find myself counting down the minutes until he wakes up from naps (most of the time).

This month Christopher has gone from a wiggle worm to a full hand-over-hand crawler. Watch out, hes moving. Guess its time for Jonathan and I to really baby proof the house. Now when I walk out of the room he comes after me, its really sweet.
Hes a great eater and LOVES all his foods (except Asparagus) but his favorite is the toast. Im sure it feels good on his little gums. Still no teeth yet!

Christopher, you are the sweetest little man ever. You have blessed our lives and made our home come alive with your sounds and laughter. Your 4-legged brothers still arent sure what to make of you but like it when you crawl all over them (or at least tolerate it). Your laugh is the best sound, I love that you say mama even if you dont know your doing it. Your sweet and gentle spirit is such a gift to your Daddy and me. We love you and could not imagine a better gift than you! Thank you for all the ways you are teaching us. We thank God daily for you and cant wait to see what the next 8 months brings.
